Hello, I'm Ellie

Welcome to Soap Barn Company!

My passion for agriculture and all things DIY has inspired me to create my own skincare products, with ingredients sourced directly from my families farm. I made my first batch of goat milk soap when I was just 10 years old-with a few goats, a big dream, and the help and support of my family. My Grandma Schanbacher played such a huge part in this journey. She was a dairy farmer, and a talented quilter/baker who poured her heart into everything she made. Her creativity, strength, and love is something I will always admire. The barn quilt logo you see today is in honor of her.

This journey began with a desire to create something better-something honest, nourishing, and free from the harsh chemicals found in so many every day skin products. Goat milk is naturally gentle and full of nutrients, and its the foundation of everything I make.

Originally called Ellie's Goat Milk Blessings, this little business has grown up with me. I'm now studying Agricultural Business at Iowa State University and preparing to graduate soon. After a short pause to focus on college, I'm bringing the business back with a fresh new look, the same core values, and a deepened commitment to clean, purposeful living.
